HHLH&MS Publications
"The History of Hemel Hempstead" by Members of the Hemel Hempstead Local History & Records Society as it was then known, was published in 1973 by the Borough of Hemel Hempstead and reprinted with amendments in 1981 by the Charter Trustees of Hemel Hempstead. It was edited by Susan Yaxley, with individual sections of the book contributed by a number of people.
Sadly the book is no longer in general print, though copies should still be available from the Cash Desk at the Civic Centre (Marlowes) and can also be purchased from Dacorum Heritage Trust @ £2 a copy.
